These are awesome double chocolate, white-chocolate-chip cookies with a bit of kick from the special ingredient: cayenne pepper.
Ingredients
1.5 cups self-rising flour (if using all-purpose, add 1 teaspoon baking powder per cup of flour)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tbsp Hershey's powdered chocolate
3/4 cups butter (1.5 sticks)
1/2 cups brown sugar
1/8 cups sugar
2 tbsp milk
1 (3.4 or 3.9 oz) package of instant chocolate pudding mix
1 egg
6 oz (1/2 package) of white-chocolate morsels
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Cream room temperature butter on medium speed mixer.
3. Mix in brown sugar and sugar using mixer.
4. Blend in instant pudding mix.
5. Add in egg, mix on high speed.
6. Mix flour (and baking powder, if any), baking soda, powdered chocolate, and cayenne pepper in separate bowl.
7. Gradually stir in flour mixture in the butter-and-egg mixture using a spatula.
8. Add one tablespoon of milk, and blend. If mixture is too thick, add in the extra tablespoon of milk.
9. Fold in white-chocolate morsels.
10. Spoon spoonful of cookie dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, and pop-in over for 10 to 12 minutes.
Notes
Let cool for 10 minutes before serving warm, with a glass of milk. Makes 18 cookies.
